La Salle headed to Long Beach on Thursday on an 8-game Camino Real League win streak.

With a victory over St. Anthony, the Lancers could have almost all but guaranteed themselves of a league championship.

But St. Anthony fought back and edged La Salle in 5 games by scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-18, 14-25 and 15-9.

La Salle was led by Will Dalgarn’s 11 kills, 16 digs and 2 blocks.

Tyrese Lee added five solo blocks.

The Lancers will likely finish second in league, but they’ll still head to the playoffs on a high note and ready to make a run.

La Salle will close out the regular season on Tuesday when they host Bosco Tech on senior night at 6 p.m.

The JV team continues to cruise, as the Lancers swept St. Anthony, 25-14 and 25-12.
