Accomplishments: Lindeman had the weight of the entire La Salle roster and coaching staff on his shoulders. The junior took the mound Thursday knowing a loss to Cathedral, a team that beat the Lancers just 48 hours earlier, would likely mean the La Salle season was over. He proceeded to throw a two-hit shutout and struck out five to lead the Lancers to a 1-0 victory over Cathedral, and earned his school a playoff spot. Lindeman recently is the author of a no-hitter, an 8-inning complete-game victory at first place Bishop Amat, and the season-saving victory over the Phantoms. La Salle tied for second with Serra, but will get the Del Rey League’s No. 3 seed because the Cavaliers defeated the Lancers twice in their three games this season.
