Catalina Alonso, Poly Sophomore:
Alonso hit. 403 with 23 hits, scored 18 runs, had 27 RBI and 7 doubles. She also walked three times and didn’t strike out the entire season for the Prep League champions.

 

 

Alex Barroso, Alverno Freshman:
Barroso had an incredible freshman year for the Horizon League champs. She had team highs with her .500 average, 41 hits and 32 runs scored. She also drove in 37 runs, had 12 doubles, 4 triples and 5 home runs.

 

 

Madeline Biscaichipy, Mayfield Sophomore:
Biscaichipy hit .416 with 32 hits, and 14 runs scored. She drove in 22 runs and had 5 doubles for a Cubs’ unit that went 2-1 in the CIF-SS Division 7 playoffs.

 

 

Deijah Bradley, Westridge Sophomore:
Bradley hit .500 with 21 hits and scored 20 runs. She had 20 RBI, 4 doubles, 2 triples and 4 home runs.

 

 

Delaney Brancheau, Alverno Sophomore:
Brancheau sparked the Jaguars’ offense, hitting .472 with 34 hits, scoring 31 runs and drove in 10 runs. She had a double and home run for the Horizon League champs.

 

 

Brennah Bronk, Poly Sophomore:
Bronk did it all for the Panthers. She hit a team-best .525 with 33 hits, scored 30 runs, drove in 30, had 6 doubles and 3 home runs. Bronk also went 11-6 in the circle with a 1.72 ERA, and struck out 131 batters in 111 innings.

 

 

Jaylin Domingo, Mayfield Sophomore:
Domingo was the Cubs’ workhorse in the circle. She went 9-7 with a 2.96 ERA and struck out 97 batters in 109 innings. The sophomore also had 15 hits at the plate, scored 8 runs and drove in 8 more.

 

 

Chelle Encinas, La Salle Senior:
Encinas was one of the Lancers’ bright spot in a season they struggled. The senior hit .413 with 26 hits. She also scored 14 runs and 21 RBI, had 3 doubles and 5 home runs.

 

 

Aly Granados, Maranatha Sophomore:
Granados was second on her team with a .493 average. She had 37 hits, scored 20 runs and had 20 RBI. The sophomore had 7 doubles, a triple and 6 home runs.

 

 

Melissa Grande, Flintridge Prep Sophomore:
Grande led the Rebels offense with a team-high 32 RBI. She also hit .411 with 23 hits and she scored 24 runs. Grande also had nine doubles and one home run (grand slam).

 

 

Samantha James, Marshall Junior:
James hit .352 with 19 hits and scored 19 runs. She also drove in 11 runs, and had 3 doubles, 4 triples and 3 home runs.

 

 

Miranda Lopez, Maranatha Sophomore:
Lopez, the younger sister of our Co-Player of the Year, Eddie, was a star of her own. The sophomore hit .443 with 31 hits. She also had 11 RBI, scored 16 runs, , had 4 doubles and a triple.

 

 

Maddie Magee, Poly Senior:
Magee was co-MVP for Poly with pitcher Brennah Bronk. She hit .306 on 19 hits and she drew 5 walks this season for the Prep League champions. Magee also had 13 RBI and scored 14 runs.

 

 

Alicia Mercado, Alverno, Junior:
Mercado played a key role in the Jaguars winning a Horizon League title. She hit .412, with 29 hits and scored 22 runs. Mercado also drove in 19 runs, had 5 doubles and 5 triples.

 

 

Kristen McCann, Marshall Junior:
McCann had a solid junior year for the Eagles, hitting .436 with 24 hits and 11 runs scored. She also drove in 14 runs, had 8 doubles, a triple and one home run.

 

 

Amesie Noll, FSHA Sophomore:
Noll led the Flintridge Sacred Heart offense with a team-high 34 RBI. She hit .400 on the season, was tied for best with 29 hits, including 9 doubles, a triple, home run and scored 24 runs.

 

 

Therise Oshiro, Flintridge Prep Senior:
Oshiro did it all for the Rebels. The Prep senior went 9-0 in the circle with a 2.85 ERA and 86 strikeouts. Offensively, she hit .419 with 26 hits, 28 runs and 8 RBI. She had five doubles a triple and a home run.

 

 

Libby Penn, Flintridge Prep Sophomore:
Penn led Prep’s offense with a team-high .480 batting average. She had 24 hits, drove in 18 runs and scored 13 runs. Penn also had 6 doubles, a triple and 2 home runs.

 

 

Amanda Ramirez, FSHA Sophomore:
Ramirez had a solid sophomore year and hit .393 with 24 hits. She also had a team-best 35 runs scored and drove in 17 runs, and had 10 doubles and a home run.

 

 

Brianna Sanchez, Alverno Sophomore:
Sanchez was the heart of the Horizon League champions, and went 13-5 in the circle with a 2.29 ERA, and she struck out 116 batters in 101 innings. She hit .457 with 32 hits, 25 runs, 26 RBI, 9 doubles, a triple and 3 home runs.

 

 

Sophia Sansone, La Salle Sophomore:
Sansone was durable all season in the circle. She also hit .373 with 22 hits and scored 10 runs for the Lancers. Sansone drove in 8 runs, had two doubles, 2 triples and a home run.

 

 

Isabelle Sustaita, Marshall Senior:
Sustaita finished off her prep career with a solid senior season. She hit .371 with 23 hits, and scored 9 runs. Sustaita drove in 14 runs, had 2 doubles and a triple.

 

 

Ariel Velazquez, Ramona Convent Sophomore:
Velazquez led Ramona Convent to a second place finish in the Horizon League. She hit .403 with 29 hits, scored 26 runs and had 10 RBI. The sophomore had 8 doubles, 2 triples and a home run.

 

 

Lauren Veneri, La Salle Senior:
Veneri, along with Encinas were the Lancers’ leaders this season. She hit .364 with 20 hits, scored 11 runs and had 10 RBI. Veneri finished with 3 doubles, a triple and one home run.

 

 

Julia Watson, Mayfield Sophomore:
Watson put up incredible numbers that rival anyone in the area. She hit .423 with 33 hits and scored 34 runs. Watson also drove in 32 runs, had 13 doubles and 3 triples.

 

 

Vivian Wheeler, Poly Sophomore:
Wheeler played a starring role in Poly going 11-1 in league on their way to a Prep League championship. She hit .360 with 27 hits, scored 28 runs, drove in 10 and had five doubles.

 

 

Taylin Yankovich, Mayfield Freshman:
Yankovich had a remarkable freshman year, hitting .426 with 26 hits. She scored 28 runs, had 14 RBI and 7 doubles for a Cubs team that won two playoff games.

 

 

Cate Ziegler, FSHA Freshman:
Ziegler was another of the area’s freshman sensations. She hit a team-best .467 with 28 hits and she scored 27 runs. Ziegler also drove in 31 runs, had 6 doubles, 2 triples and a home run.​
