Playing its only same-division (Div. 5) this non-league season, the Lady MInutemen capitalized and took advantage of it, putting a W in the win-column for the first time this season and recording some season firsts:

#3 singles, Aria Haver-Hill, who has been improving each match, not only came away with her first victory, but also swept her opponents., 6-2, 6-2, 6-1.
#2 singles, Malena Smith recorded her first sweep of the season, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0.
#1 singles, Angela Hsieh, got her first triple-bagel of the season, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0.

On the doubles side,

#3 doubles, Hellen Hong and Stella Wang, took 2 of 3 sets for the first time this season, including a comeback 7-6(5) victory in the day’s final contest.
#1 doubles, Maddie Hernandez and Michael Wilkins, won two sets, while #2 doubles, Reagan Atallah and Rose Zhang, won one.

Next up for Maranatha is their third strong Div. 3 opponent in the last 4 matches, the Tigers of South Pasadena, the alma mater of both of MHS’s coaches, Coach Arthur and Coach Sandra..
