The only thing better for the Poly girls basketball program than earning a spot in Saturday night’s title game of their own tournament is that they earned that spot with a balanced scoring effort Friday night.

Poly got 43 of their 47 points by four players and the Panthers held off Alhambra by 5 points.

Sarah Johnson has 10 points and both Alexis Pappachan and Keara Caragher scored 9 points each for Poly.

Kylie Kishi wasn’t far behind with 9 points and Shannon Dilbeck added 4 points.

Poly will host San Marino Saturday at 4:30 for the tournament championship.
