Freshman guard, Emily Jordan scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds to go with three assists and two steals to help lift the Lady Minutemen to a major Olympic League victory over Whittier Christian, 48-40, Tuesday night at home.

Senior point guard, Cherise Masuda scored 12 points to go with six assists, while Sophomore Patil Yaacoubian added nine points with nine rebounds and three assists.

Junior Forward, Eric De Guzman was sensational on defense once again as she added six points, six rebounds, to go with three steals.

Freshman center, Mikayla Murphy added four points.

Maranatha finishes the regular season with Valley Christian on Friday at home, and then the Minutemen will travel to Heritage Christian and Village Christian next Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.

Maranatha coach Gamal Smalley: “Erica and Mikayla played with so much intensity on the boards and on defense, that I call them twins. Taliana and Mirelle also played big on the boards as the entire team played great team ball for the very important league win.”
