The Chandler School girls A-level basketball team won the Independent Middle School league tournament championship in a close game with Mayfield, 22-19. The girls sealed the win in the last five seconds of the game, with a free throw and a basket. Chandler defeated Poly in the semi-finals before playing Mayfield in the title game. Mayfield was the only team to beat Chandler during regular season play. This is Chandler’s fifth girls’ basketball championship in the last six years.
