From Staff Reports

Johnny Le’s season-high 20 helped lead Flintridge Prep to a 68-55 victory on Tuesday night in a Prep League contest.

Prep’s win sets up a battle tonight (Wednesday) at Poly at 6:30 with a share of the Prep League at stake with the undefeated Panthers (4-0 in league).

Le made four 3-point baskets for Prep.

Jake Althouse had another big game, as the senior scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

Kendall Kikkawa had a double-double with 12 points and 12 assists.

“We got off to a quick start against Firebaugh, and we were able to do so because our energy was high, an we got out in transition,” Kikkawa said. “Those will be keys for tomorrow. However, Firebaugh hung around because we had some turnovers, and we got in foul trouble. Overall, I think we played well, but if we keep those two things to a minimum, then we will be in great shape. Poly also has some solid players, so we’ll need to play well on the defensive end as well. I think this game was a great preparation for tomorrow (Wednesday), and I think our team is ready.”

Eugene Ndubisi led Firebaugh with 15, and Rene De La Torre had 10.
