The 75-mile bus ride each way from La Salle to Oxnard ended up being worth it for the Lancers.
La Salle got a game-high 26 points from senior Julia Macabuhay, and the Lancers held off Oxnard, 58-51, Saturday night in a CIF-SS Division 3-A second-round game.
For their troubles, La Salle gets to visit second-seeded Flintridge Prep (24-2) on Wednesday at 7.
Jasmine Chavez led Oxnard with 16 points, and Alissa Aranda had 13.
La Salle (21-9) got 10 points from Grace Fallar and 7 points each from Alyssa Arroyo and Nicole Ortiz.
The Lancers took a 14-5 lead after the first quarter and were able to hold off the Yellowjackets (13-14).
