Maranatha opened the season with both a gut check and a victory.
The Minutemen defeated Campbell Hall by scores of 27-25, 19-25, 25-23, 17-25 and 15-13 on Tuesday.
Tiffany Godley led the way with 9 kills and 10 digs.
Lauren Ramirez added 5 kills and 11 digs.
Sophie Berry pitched in with 8 assists and Leannah Barreto had 15 digs.
Maranatha’s junior varsity and freshman both lost.
The Minutemen will take on Poly on Saturday.
