Poly is starting the 2017 on a roll and heading into this weekend with some momentum.
The Panthers host their own tournament all day Saturday and head in with two wins to start the season.
After a season-opening victory over San Marino in 5 games, the Panthers swept Temple City on Wednesday.
The Panthers earned a 25-19, 25-19, 25-13 victory and were led by 9 kills apiece from Ella Mao and Halston Harper.
Ella Mao added 4 kills and 3 aces and Harper had 5 blocks to go along with the kill total.
Alexis Pappachan added 7 kills and 3 blocks and Kate Salembier had 5 kills and 2 blocks.
Natalie Clark chipped in with 5 kills and Zoey Mao added 54 assists and 5 aces.
Poly will play a triple-header on Saturday when they take on Paraclete, Keppel and Maranatha in their own tournament.
Their matches are scheduled for 10 a.m. (Paraclete), 11 a.m. (Keppel) and the Panthers match with Maranatha is slated for 2 p.m.
