For those who know how high school tennis works, they’re probably thinking there are 18 matches, so how could a final score only add up to 17?
Well, Carly Hall and her Westridge opponent, Caroline Lopez, were tied at 6-6, but it got too dark to finish their match.
Mayfield, though, had already wrapped up the victory.
Lauren Panajotovic is still undefeated in Prep League play after winning matches 6-2, 6-2 and 6-0.
Hall won her first two matches before going the distance with Lopez, the Tigers No. 1 singles player.
Sofia Mireles dropped all three of her matches for Mayfield.
Mayfield’s No. 1 and No. 2 doubles teams each won two of their three matches on Thursday.
