The only thing more satisfying than winning an outright league championship is doing so with sheer and utter dominance.

That’s exactly what La Salle did in the 2017 girls volleyball season behind coach Tiare Tuitama.

The Lancers, ranked No. 2 in their division by CIF claimed the Del Rey League championship after its sweep at Bishop Montgomery on Thursday.

They have yet to drop one set in any of their league matches.

Thursday’s score was 25-13, 25-19 and 25-10.

Claire Forrest had 12 kills and 3 blocks.

Sophia Anderson added 9 kills and Chloe Howell finished with 6 kills.

Tori Ashkinos chipped in 4 kills and 16 assists.

The Lancers finish off their regular season with a home match against last-place Serra Monday evening on senior night.

La Salle coach Tiare Tuitama: “I am very happy with everyone and I’ve had the chance to play all 15 of my girls and all have contributed. Moving forward with the playoffs, we’ll heat up our practices and make sure they’re prepared. We’ll take each play of each point like they will decide the match.”
