From STAFF REPORTS

Westridge heads into Tuesday’s Prep League showdown undefeated.

But the Tigers have lost one game in each of their last two matches, which is something they hadn’t done in their first 8 Prep League contests.

That is completely nit-picking when mentioning they’ve lost one set in their last two matches, but we’ll see on Tuesday if there is a chink in their armor when they face Poly, and what kind of momentum the Tigers take into the playoffs.

Westridge seniors Eryn Boken, Makana Meyer and Allison Martinez accounted for 32 of the program’s 33 kills.

The Tigers won by scores of 21-25, 25-13, 25-17 and 25-16.

Libby Penn led the way for the Rebels with 12 kills.

Jada Gritton added 6 kills and Courtney Johnson had 5 kills for Prep.

Ani Bernardi added 31 assists for a Rebels’ team that won their first game off Westridge in 6 years, and it had been 13 seasons since winning a game against each Chadwick, Poly, Westridge and Mayfield.

Krystal Raymundo had a team-best 26 assists and also 10 digs for Westridge.

Prep League Standings:
Westridge (21-6 overall, 11-0 in league)

Mayfield (10-12, 8-4)
Chadwick (10-9, 6-5)
Flintridge Prep (11-9, 4-8)
