Village Christian left a sour taste in the Pasadena girls basketball programs’ collective mouth last year.
Twice.
The Crusaders defeated the Bulldogs in the Burroughs Tournament finals and in the semifinals of the CIF-SS playoffs.
PHS and Taurie Magee decided enough was enough.
Magee scored 26 and the Bulldogs defeated Village Christian, 64-59 in the semifinals of this year’s Burrough’s Tournament.
Mariah Cathcart added 18 points.
PHS will travel to take on tournament host Burroughs at 6 on Saturday night in an attempt to win the tournament championship.
Kamesha Moore finished with 6 points, and Emily Eter, Kameria Pigee and Tatiana Ayala contributed 4 points each.
Moore added 7 rebounds and 7 assists to go along with her 6 points.
