La Salle and Crenshaw went into the halftime break tied.
But the Cougars outlasted the Lancers in the second half to earn an 80-65 victory on Friday night between two basketball powers.
Darius Henderson led La Salle with 22 points and Kevin Franklin finished with 14 points for the Lancers.
La Salle will travel to Cerritos next Friday night to take on Gahr (4-4) at 7.
