Kaitlyn Chen had a game-high 28 points for Flintridge Prep on Friday evening.
But South Pasadena was able to hold off the Rebels, 60-57, who mounted a comeback in their nonleague contest.
South Pasadena outscored Prep in each of the first three quarters, before the Rebels used a 14-9 fourth-quarter advantage to close the gap.
Charlize Kruzic paced the Tigers with 19, while Naomi Kruzic and Lauren Kefkaloff each scored 10.
Andie Kim was big for Prep with 18.
Flintridge Prep will host Sierra (5-3) Wednesday evening at 6.
