Regardless of holiday cheer, had Maranatha lost Saturday morning, they would had one long and quiet ride home from Las Vegas.
The Minutemen lost the first three games of the Tarkanian Classic and by a combined margin of 57 points.
But thankfully, MHS, led by Chris Austin and Xavier Ford, downed Crean Lutheran, 55-53 in overtime on Saturday morning.
Ford had a team-best 18 points and Austin finished with 17.
Wes Clarkson had a huge effort with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Brad Lee dished out 7 assists for Maranatha.
Maranatha will take on Rolling Hills Prep (4-1) on Tuesday at 12:30 in the first round of the Damien Tournament.
