It took five days for Dez Washington to get a chance to remove that sour taste he left his school’s gym with last Friday night.
After a four-point loss to La Canada, Washington handled his business and maturely handled his duties in talking to the media.
But it was clear the loss to the Spartans really hurt the 6-foot-7 senior and he took most of the blame for the loss, even though he did everything he could.
Washington, though, finally got that shot on Wednesday night and made the best of it.
He scored 28 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 5 assists.
The Vikings defeated San Marino, 79-58, in a league game.
Favour Ihiaso added 19 points and 8 rebounds.
Donald Guyton finished with 13 points and 5 assists, Arvynn Shivalli contributed 12 points, which all came from beyond the 3-point arc.
Blair will travel to Temple City on Friday at 7 in another Rio Hondo League contest.
