Patil Yaacoubian did what she’s done all season.

The sophomore guard led Maranatha with 17 points and 4 rebounds.

But visiting Village Christian was just too strong.

The Crusaders outscored (barely) the Minutemen in three of the four quarters Tuesday night and held on for a 57-50 victory.

Village Christian moved out to 4-0 in Olympic League play.

Emily Jordan had 13 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists for MHS.

Cherise Masuda finished with 7 points, 9 assists and 4 rebounds.

Mireille Minassian also had 7 points, as well as 5 boards.

Maranatha will host Whittier Christian next Tuesday at 5:30 in another Olympic League contest.
