All you needed to know about the outcome of the Pasadena-Crescenta Valley game Tuesday night were two facts heading into the break.

First, PHS held a 27-point advantage, and second, Crescenta Valley coach Shawn Zargarian had already picked up two technical fouls and was ejected.

Pasadena had been waiting 20 days to get a crack at that Falcons after dropping a 65-60 Pacific League opener in their gym and without point guard Darius Brown II.

The Bulldogs jumped on them from the start and it was never a game.

PHS dropped CV, 83-55, on Tuesday night behind 44 points from its two biggest stars.

Bryce Hamilton, was incredible again, with 24 points on 11-of-15 shooting and he added 5 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals.

DBII, getting that chance to show CV what it’s like to play the Bulldogs with No. 2 running the offense was outstanding.

He had 20 points, 7 assists, 4 steals, 3 rebounds and a pair of 3-pointers.

Brown connected on 7-of-8 from the field, including a shot nearly 10 feet behind the 3-point line as the halftime buzzer went off to give PHS a 50-23 lead.

Pasadena shot a torrid 64-percent from the field, and made 34 of 53 shots.

They converted 10-of-13 free-throw attempts, and made 5-of-14 from behind the 3-point arc.

Darius Mason is proving to be one of the area’s most complete players.

Mason finished with 10 points, on 4 of 5 shooting, and had 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks and 3 steals.

It’s not our policy to question officiating, but two of Tavian Percy’s four fouls literally came on plays in which a CV player initiated contact with the 6-foot-6 senior.

The Miami transfer didn’t get as much playing time as he would have liked because of that.

But Percy is a stud and found a way to score 10 points on 5 of 7 shooting and he pulled down 5 rebounds.

Even in limited minutes, Percy had two dunks to woo the crowd.

A young man that doesn’t always see as much playing time as he might like, Roman Soloman, came off the bench and was outstanding.

The junior scored 8 points, including a pair of 3-point buckets.

Omari Moore had 7 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.

Moore is really finding his groove and has been huge of late in league play for the Bulldogs.

Pasadena will travel to Arcadia on Friday at 7 as they intend hold a spot of the Pacific League’s top spot with crosstown rival Muir.
