Even in losses, St. Francis is in almost every game they’ve played in the very tough Mission League.

But Wednesday night’s 3-point loss was pretty devastating.

The Golden Knights hosted Chaminade and held a 7-point lead with 2 minutes to play and it all fell apart.

They turned the ball over 3 times and gave up two offensive rebounds over that stretch.

Chaminade was able to escape La Canada with a 62-59 league victory.

Kenneth Simpson had 18 points, and Michael Wilson 17 for the Eagles.

Kevin House led St. Francis with 12 points and Steven Hodges had 8.

St. Francis will host Sylmar on Saturday at 5, and then the Golden Knights travel to Loyola on Monday at 7 as they continue Mission League play.
