Poly got through its last hurdle before things heat up this weekend.
The Panthers, behind 20 from Sarah Johnson, defeated Westridge, 43-34, on the road Thursday.
The victory keeps the Panthers to within two games in the loss column of first-place Flintridge Prep.
And starting Saturday evening, Poly and Prep will meet up twice in a 96-hour window in a home-and-away scenario.
Alexis Pappchan finished with 9 points and Keara Caragher added 8 points for Poly.
Ashley Wei had 8 points for Westridge, Ella Wood scored just 4 points, but she grabbed a game-high 22 rebounds.
Mia Hakian also added 8 points for the Tigers.
Westridge will host Chadwick next Friday and will travel to Rio Hondo Prep next Saturday as their season winds down.
