Maranatha bounced back from Wednesday’s poor showing at Charter Oak in Saturday’s Frozen Ropes Tournament at APU.
MHS pounded out 9 hits in the 12-0 mercy-rule victory over Duarte.
Casey Popham earned the win, going 4 innings and allowing just two hits.
Popham walked one and struck out four.
Brock Vradenburg had a huge effort offensively.
The sophomore went 3 for 3, including a triple, scored twice and he drove in a game-high 6 runs.
Max Blessinger had two hits, scored three runs and drove in another.
Blessinger also went the fifth and final inning on the mound for the Minutemen, and he struck out the side.
Dante Campione had a hit and an RBI.
Ben Guess went 1 for 1, walked twice and scored three runs.
Dawson Netz scored twice and drove in a run.
Sal Tabullo added a sac fly for MHS.
Jacob Moreno went 1 for 2 and the sophomore scored two runs.
Maranatha will continue play in the Frozen Ropes Tournament Tuesday, but their opponent and time have yet to be determined as of press time.
