Pasadena entered the bottom of the seventh inning trailing 6-5 in Monday’s showdown with Cathedral.
Nothing to worry about, though, as the Bulldogs rallied for three seventh-inning runs and did so in dramatic fashion.
Alvie Castro’s solo blast got PHS even at 6-6.
And Robert Olivades hit a 2-run, walk-off blast to clinch the victory for the Bulldogs.
Steve Lopez picked up his second win in as many games.
Lopez went the final 2 1/3 innings, didn’t allow a hit and struck out one to claim the victory for his team and himself.
Castro finished 2 for 4, and besides the home run, the senior also doubled.
Olivades added 2 hits, walked once and singled before his dramatic game winning home run.
He drove in four runs for PHS on Monday.
Pasadena will host South Pasadena today (Tuesday) at 3:15.
