So far, so good.
Muir earned its second consecutive victory to begin their 2018 baseball season.
The Mustangs got solid relief pitching and defeated Miller, 6-4, in the Dave Moore Classic (tournament).
After starting pitcher Tyquise Soloman surrendered 4 third-inning runs, Brian Love and Emiliano Martinez combined to go the final four innings and didn’t allow a run.
Love went 3 innings and he allowed just one hit and struck out five.
Emiliano Martinez closed out Miller with a scoreless/hitless seventh inning an he struck out one.
Muir, trailing 4-2, got three runs in the fourth inning and one more in the sixth.
Seven Muir batters had a base hit in Monday’s game.
KeyShawn Spicer went 1 for 4, scored once an drove in a pair of runs for the Mustangs.
