Accomplishment(s): Love, who also led the Mustangs football program at quarterback is now part of Muir’s resurgent baseball program behind first-year coach Adonis Harrison. Love had a memorable week on the mound in a pair of victories over Hoover. On Tuesday, Love went the first 2 2/3 innings and didn’t allow a run or a walk. He allowed one hit and struck out three. In Friday’s game, though, Love was as judicious as he was successful. It took Love just 68 pitches to shut out Hoover (3-0) on two hits. He didn’t walk a batter and struck out seven. Muir finds itself tied with Arcadia, Crescenta Valley, and Burroughs atop the Pacific League standings with a 2-0 mark.
