From STAFF REPORTS
Zane Lindeman earned the victory, going 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on four hits.
Lindeman struck out seven.
Jeff Daley finished Serra off, going the final 1 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball.
Daley allowed one hit and struck out one. Neither Lindeman or Daley issued a base on balls Tuesday.
Brennan Mace had a two-run double and Victor Scalzo followed that with a two-RBI base hit.
Later in the game, Mace tripled home Ethan Patrick.
Patrick finished 1 for 3 with a walk and two runs scored.
Mark Daley had one hit, a walk, run scored and an RBI.
La Salle will host Serra on Friday at 3:15 at Arcadia County Park in the second of two games this week with the Cavaliers.
La Salle coach Eddie McKiernan: “Our defense is just better when our pitchers are pounding the zone. Both pitchers did a good job, worked ahead and got a lot of weak contact. Brennan Mace is doing a great job, and bought into the hitting approach, and has had success so his confidence is a lot higher.”
