For the second week in a row, Poly gave up first innings runs and then didn’t score until late in the game.
Last week, they had a seventh-inning rally to defeat first-place Mayfield.
On Tuesday, the Panther spotted Chadwick two first inning runs and then scored once in the sixth and twice in the final inning to edge the Dolphins, 3-2.
Ali Ulin got the game-winning base hit in the seventh with two outs as Poly keeps pace and is still in the hunt with Mayfield.
Brennah Bronk and Elyse Chan combined in the circle for the Panthers.
Bronk went four innings, allowing four hits and struck out three.
Chan went three innings, allowing just one hit and striking out four Chadwick batters.
Megan Kelleher 1 for 2 with a walk an Vivian Wheeler went 1 for 3 and scored one run.
Bronk had one hit and an RBI for Poly.
