Accomplishment(s): Heading into this week’s games, La Salle found itself in dire straits. They had just fallen from second to third place after a pair of one-run losses to third-place (at the time) St. Paul, and worse yet, they had first-place Bishop Amat in a two-game series. But the reigning 2016 Pasadena Sports Now Pitcher of the Year Zane Lindeman changed the trajectory of the Lancers’ program. The 6-foot-4 right hander threw a three-hit shutout against the visiting Lancers and handed Amat their first league loss of the season. Lindeman walked one and struck out four on 86 pitches, and two days later, Landon Smith and Jeff Daley combined on the mound to sweep Amat, which puts La Salle’s chances at a postseason berth in a much more favorable position.
