Accomplishment(s): Domingo won a pair of Prep League games in the circle. In 14 innings, Domingo allowed just one earned runs in victories over second-place Poly, 6-5, and a 7-2 triumph of Rio Hondo Prep. Domingo gave up five total hits in her two complete-game efforts and she had three hits, one run scored and a pair of RBIs at the plate. The Cubs, thanks in large part to their come-from-behind victory over Poly, have put themselves in a favorable position to win a Prep League title. Mayfield has four Prep League games remaining and two of the four (versus Westridge and Firebaugh) are almost gimme’s, but Tuesday’s showdown at Flintridge Prep and next Tuesday’s home game with Chadwick will be much more competitive.
