To say Tuesday’s first of two with undefeated Arcadia didn’t go as planned for PHS would be a giant understatement.
The Apaches stayed perfect with a 12-0, mercy-rule victory, and the PHS ace, Alvie Castro, hurt his foot when a foul ball came down on it, and it is unclear whether he’ll be able to pitch Thursday as scheduled.
Nik Moran was saddled with the loss, but eight of the nine runs he was charged with were unearned.
Caden Ross went four innings and allowed no runs on three hits.
Castro doubled before getting hurt, and Adrian DePasquale went 2 for 2 for the Bulldogs.
PHS and Arcadia are set to play Thursday at 3:30 at Pasadena High School.
