From STAFF REPORTS

There was a reason Zane Lindeman was the 2017 Pasadena Sports Now Pitcher of the Year.

The 6-foot-4 right hander, and junior at the time, clutched up more than anyone in the area, especially late in the season and when his Lancers needed it most.

Fast forward one year later and Lindeman is doing it again.

His most current gem was a 6 2/3 inning effort in a 4-2 victory over visiting Cathedral on Tuesday, in what is his final regular season home game.

Lindeman allowed seven hits, walked one and struck out eight.

Jeff Daley came on because of a high-pitch count for Lindeman, and he picked up a one-pitch save for La Salle.

Mark Daley had two hits, including a double and scored twice.

Johnathan Wong has been huge of late, and on Tuesday, he collected two hits, scored once and drove in a pair of runs.

Henry Kavanaugh finished 2 for 4 with an RBI and Brennan Mace added a double and run scored.

James Barnard went 1 for 3 and scored a run.

Brian Park got the loss after surrendering four runs (two earned) on five hits.

Park walked one and struck out a pair.

Chris Pizana had two hits and a run scored and Chris Villasenor doubled and scored for the Phantoms.

La Salle can clinch second place outright with a victory Thursday at Cathedral and against the lowly Phantoms.
