Neither Muir or Pasadena had the 2018 season they had hoped for.

But ending the year on a winning note would be a good start for 2019.

And especially if you do it the way Muir did on Thursday afternoon.

The Mustangs trailed by six runs after two innings, but they finished the final five innings strongly and earned the road victory over their rivals, 13-10, at PHS.

Alissa Aragon earned the victory in the circle.

Amber Davis, Lindsay Barajas and Desiray Leagons combined for five hits for Muir over a three-inning stretch.

Nyla Murray got the loss for Pasadena, but only five of the 13 runs she was charged with were earned runs.

Muir did pound out 15 hits though.

Samantha Romero had a big game for the Bulldogs, going 3 for 4 with a double, three runs scored and she drove in three runs.

Zelmya Taylor, Naomi Martinez and Treasure Williams had two RBIs apiece for Pasadena.

Muir ends their season on a one-game win streak, while PHS lost eight consecutive games, including Thursday’s showdown with the Mustangs.
