Flintridge Prep got challenged in the first two sets in Tuesday’s season opener.
And then the Rebels pulled away for a three-game sweep at Temple City.
Prep earned the 25-20, 26-24 and 25-12 nonleague victory.
Jada Gritton led the way with 19 kills and Libby Penn added 12 kills.
Courtney Johnson finished with 9 kills.
Ani Bernardi tallied 39 assists.
The Rebels finish their first week with two tough Prep League matches.
Prep will host Westridge on Thursday at 5:30, and then travel to Poly on Friday at 3:45.
