Flintridge Prep didn’t just hand Providence its first loss of the season.
The Pioneers came over from Burbank with a 6-0 record and hadn’t dropped a single set all season.
Providence even won the first game Tuesday night and looked to keep that streak alive.
But the Rebels fought back and took down the Pioneers by scores of 19-25, 25-15, 25-13 and 25-18.
Libby Penn had 11 kills.
Courtney Johnson added 8 kills and Ani Bernardi had 38 assists.
Prep still has three more matches this week.
The Rebels will host San Marino on Wednesday, Maranatha Thursday, and finish off the week on Friday at Alhambra.
