They might not think it right now, but Tuesday night’s five-set loss in Glendora might be a good thing in the long run for La Salle.
The Lancers may have fallen in five games at St. Lucy’s, but these are the kind of matches that tend to pay off later in the season.
La Salle will learn and move on from the closest of setbacks.
St. Lucy’s earned the 19-25, 25-20, 25-23, 19-25 and 15-13 victory.
Carly Kejmar and Chloe Howell combined for 23 kills to pace the Lancers’ offense.
Sarah Aguirre added 8 kills and Elle Harrity had 7 kills.
Vanessa Ramirez and Nina Claudio tied for the lead with 3 aces apiece.
Alessandra Perez added 21 assists and Carly Kejmar had 14 assists.
Along with her 3 aces, Ramirez had a team-high 28 digs.
La Salle will be back at it today (Wednesday) when they host Monrovia at 6.
