Maranatha isn’t quite where it wants to be with their record (4-8), and are pretty young.
But this team competes night in and night out and are not to be taken lightly.
For Wednesday, though, Buckley was able to outlast Maranatha in four games.
The Griffins won by scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-20 and 25-22.
Joelle Battles led MHS with 12 kills and Lauren Ramirez added 25 digs.
Bella Medina finished with 9 assists.
Sophie Berry contributed 7 assists.
Maranatha will be back at it tonight (Thursday) when they host Immaculate Heart in the final nonleague match before opening Olympic League play next week.
