Marshall will host El Monte on Friday at 3:15 in another Mission League battle.

Quotable:

Marshall coach Sang Lee: “I think we got a bit overconfident after taking the first set. We made a lot of serving and passing errors because we lost focus. We were constantly having to come back in multiple sets. We actually did a good job at the ends of the second and fourth sets, but we shouldn’t have been in the position in the first place if we played up to our potential to begin each set. Our goal is to play at a high level at all times, not just when we are trailing. It’ll be interesting to see how we bounce back. I believe this team has a lot of character and will figure out how to play more consistently to begin and end each set.”
