Caltech men’s water polo senior Chris Bradley has been named the SCIAC Men’s Water Polo Player of the Week.

Bradley netted hat tricks in all four games of the Beavers’ opening weekend at the Navy Open, totaling 17 scores and five assists. The senior led Caltech to a 16-13 win in the opener vs. Penn State-Behrend and continued his offensive onslaught against a pair of Division I opponents and a Division II foe, scoring on nearly 50 percent of his shot attempts. He completed a characteristic all-around line with five drawn exclusions and a phenomenal 9-11 sprints performance.

The SCIAC has expanded its Player of the Week awards to include student-athletes from each sport on a weekly basis, rather than a single combined award as in previous years. Honorees are nominated by member institutions and selected each Monday by the conference office on the basis of the preceding week’s performance.
