Beau Detchemendy caught 5 TD passes and had over 100 yards receiving as Flintridge Prep (4-0) took out Sherman Oaks CES, 56-34
Sophomore quarterback John Lytle is really starting to feel comfortable in the Rebels offensive scheme with his five scores for the second time in four games.
Lytle threw for 5 TD passes three weeks ago in a blowout victory over Hillcrest Christian.
As comfortable as the margin of victory may look, the Knights (4-1) held Flintridge Prep to about 15 points under their per-game average and scored more on the Rebels defense than Fulton, Hillcrest Christian and Bellarmine-Jefferson combined.
“It was a game I wanted for my team,” Rebels coach Russell White said. “Beau had a great game, the defense stood firm and we matched the physical play of Sherman Oak CES.”
The Rebels will be back at home next Saturday when they take on Cate from Carpinteria, with kickoff slated at 3 p.m.
