The young La Salle girls golf team didn’t have enough to keep up with visiting Bishop Amat on Thursday at the Brookside Golf Course.
In a battle of ‘Lancers,’ it was the Bishop Amat Lancers that came out on top with a team-low score of 282.
La Salle shot 311 in the Del Rey League match.
Makenna Hicks shot a low score of 58 for La Salle.
Kayla Mena finished second for her team, shooting a 61.
Victoria Tong and Sarah Day both had 62′s.
Josephine Lo finished top-5 with a 68.
“The kids played well on the challenging course No. 1, so the score was higher,” La Salle coach Steve Haderlein said. “I think playing Amat was a good lesson for us, a measure that we still have work to do to compete with the first place team in league.
