La Salle continued to show its perseverance Monday at the Santa Anita Golf Course.
A few days after getting dominated by Bishop Amat, the Lady Lancers took it out on Pomona Catholic, shooting a team-low of 284, and defeating Pomona Catholic by some 48 strokes.
La Salle improved to 5-8 overall and 2-3 in league.
Pomona Catholic shot a team score of 332.
Monday’s performance marked the first time three players shot 54 or under.
La Salle was led by Victoria Tong’s 50, followed by Makenna Hicks (52), Sarah Day (54), Annabel Lee (63) and Gracie Galenas was fifth after shooting a 65.
“We continue to improve and that’s encouraging,” La Salle coach Steve Haderlein said. “A bit more focus on putting, and the kids may post below 275 or maybe even 270.”
