La Salle made another big step forward in its progress as a golf program Wednesday at the Glendora Country Club.
The Lancers shot a match-low of 279 and Pomona Catholic finished at 314 in a league contest.
Makenna Hicks led the way with a 49, as La Salle improved to 6-10 overall, and 3-6 in league matches.
Collette Allen shot a 54, Annabel Lee 55, and Sarah Day shot a 60.
Kayla Mena finished in the top 5 with a 61.
“The girls played one of their best matches of the year,” La Salle coach Steve Haderlein said. “We’re playing more balanced and it’s very encouraging to see some players scoring much lower than a month ago.
