Bosco Tech has had an up-and-down season.
The up part is that Bosco Tech has won more games already this season than a year ago.
The down side, though, is that the Tigers lost their second consecutive game.
Cantwell-Sacred Heart cruised past the Tigers, 31-8, Friday night in a South Catholic League game.
The Tigers (3-6 overall, 1-2 in league) got a starring performance from running back Rey Castellanos again, but it wasn’t enough.
Castellanos rushed for over 100 yards and accounted for the only Tigers’ score.
“The defense kept us in the game and we were moving the chains pretty well, but shot ourselves in the foot multiple times with turnovers,” Bosco coach Branden Jones said.
Bosco will close out the season next week when it hosts Bishop Montgomery at 7.
South Catholic League Standings:
Bishop Montgomery (5-3 overall, 2-0 in league)
Cantwell-Sacred Heart (3-5, 2-0)
Verbum Dei (3-5, 1-1)
Bosco Tech (3-6, 1-2)
St. Bernard (1-8, 0-3)
