A month ago, it would have been to foresee the Muir football program getting a playoff berth.

The Mustangs had lost four games in a row after winning its first two games.

But the roller coaster of a season is on the right track.

Muir won its third game in a row and took down Burroughs, 30-20, in the process.

Jonathan Stevens had two touchdown runs for Muir (5-4, 3-3).

Muir quarterback Tyquise Solomon threw three TD passes.

Solomon connected with Ahmir Davis on 40 and 50 yards scores, and then he hit 19-yard score to Elijah Blades.

Muir will finish off the regular season next Friday at the Rose Bowl when they meet up in the annual ‘Turkey Tussle’ with crosstown rival Pasadena.
