The Pasadena City College women’s cross country season officially came to a close with two Lancers placing in the top 100 at the 53rd CCCAA State Championships held at Woodwark Park in Fresno. PCC did not qualify as a team, but Franceska Millanponce (55th place) and Ramina Padashi Fard (96th) represented Lancers nation on the 3.1 miles course.
Millanponce ran the fastest PCC time since 2013 and made a big jump from her mark as a freshman at the 2015 state meet. Millanponce raced 19:45.2 as she improved 52 places and 56 seconds at state.
Padashi Fard, a freshman, ran 20:39.2 as one of 199 runners to take part in the event.
Glendale won the state team title while Cuesta’s Miranda Daschian won the individual race at 17:52.7.
