Despite a fifth place finish in its league, the Pasadena City College women’s soccer team managed to receive four selections to the 2016 All-South Coast Conference North Division Team.
Freshman forward/goalie Isabel Diaz (Sierra Madre High), arguably the Lancers MVP this year, scored a team-high eight goals with four assists (20 points) and her .808 save percentage in limited goalie time (351 minutes, 42 saves) led the team as well. Diaz was picked to the All-SCC First Team along with frosh defender Chloe Twitchell (Monrovia), who started all 21 games for the Lancers.
Making the All-Conference Second Team were two-time selection and midfielder Sandra Ambrosio (Arroyo HS, six goals, four assists) and frosh midfielder Emily Matthiesen (Monrovia, two goals, one assist, a talented defensive player who started and played most of the minutes in all 19 of her games.
