From STAFF REPORTS
There was no drama expected, and none delivered in Friday night’s girls Prep League match up between undefeated Flintridge Prep and visiting Poly.
The Rebels are on a tear and were not going to lose this game, but no one could have predicted that in the first and third quarters, the Panthers had just 1 point.
Taylor Yoshida led Prep with 20, and Kaitlyn Chen had 11 in the 48-15 victory to clinch the league championship.
Now…Prep can look forward to trying to earn a second straight CIF-SS championship.
But before then, they’ll have to take on Westridge next Thursday at 5.
Sarah Johnson had 11 of Poly’s 15 points.
Flintridge Prep (22-2), (11-0) in league play defeated Poly (13-5), (6-4).
Flintridge Prep’s next game will be 2/9/2017 @ 5pm vs. Westridge.
