At the Cal State Los Angeles Invitational held Friday, Pasadena City College women’s track runner Franceska Millanponce ran seventh place in the 5,000 meters as her 19:24.79 time places her 12th currently in the state rankings for the event.
Teammate Ramina Padashi Fard was eighth in the race at 19:51.12 (18th in the state).
At the Cal State Los Angeles Invitational, Pasadena City College women’s track runner Franceska Millanponce ran seventh place in the 5,000 meters as her 19:24.79 time places her 12th currently in the state rankings for the event.
Teammate Ramina Padashi Fard placed eighth in the race and her 19:51.12 is now 18th in the state for the event.
At the Cerritos College Open held Feb. 23-24, Natalie Smith was third in the high jump at 1.42 meters and fifth in the 100-meter hurdles (17.74). Millanponce placed fourth (11:27.27) and Padashi Fard fifth (11:32.57) in the 3,000 meters. Millanponce was 13th in the 1,500 (5:29.15) and Padashi Fard 14th (5:31.77).
The PCC women’s track and field team, directed by first-year head coach Innocent Egbunike, is scheduled to participate in the Occidental College Invitational on Friday, Mar. 10.
